You won’t find a dog sweeter than Namtan as a senior dog for adoption!

A while ago we made a list of the temple dogs we’d most like to find a home for. Namtan (“Sugar”) was at the top of the list! We know that she has tried to force her way into being a house dog several times. She has moved into nearby shops and gardens but always eventually winds up back at the temple.

Then she had a minor illness a few weeks ago and has been in one of our foster homes ever since. She proved we were right and that she’d make a perfect pet. She is completely healthy now and we need to free up the space in our foster home for other dogs who need medical attention. But we don’t want to send her back to the temple.

She’s great with kids, accepts cats, is scared of big dogs, and is fascinated by squirrels. She weighs a little more than 11 kgs. She would be perfect as an only dog or with other small dogs. She doesn’t do tricks and has no idea what a ball or a frisbee is for. A soft bed, some good treats, and lots of love and attention is all she needs.

She’s already 11 years old so for anyone looking for a sweet, loving companion but aren’t quite able to make the 15+ year commitment a puppy would need, she is a perfect compromise!
