After the horrors she has seen and endured in her life, Lilly doesn’t have many reasons to be happy or trust humans as a senior dog for adoption. Yet, she always greets visitors to the WVS Rescue Center with a smile and loves to be around people.

You could say she was lucky, because she was rescued from the cruel dog meat trade. Many dogs on the truck carrying them to slaughter were already dead when help arrived; many more didn’t not survive the overcrowded government shelter. But Lilly did survive and made it to the safety of our rescue center, at last.

Lilly, now eight years old, is easily overlooked because of her gentle, calm disposition. But give her a little attention and affection and she will shower you with love and loyalty. We don’t know if she’s ever had a proper home before, but we know that she will make a fantastic family pet.

After all she’s been through, don’t you think this lovely lady deserves a chance to have some good years in a loving home? Could it be yours?

Lilly is fit and healthy and weighs about 17 Kg. She’s sterilized and fully vaccinated.

Come and visit Lilly and her friends at the rescue center. They love visitors and there’s no pressure to take one home. Come anytime from Monday thru Saturday, between 10:00 and 16:30.

If you have questions about Lilly, adopting, or anything dog-related, call us at 086-913-8701, or send us a message on our Facebook page:   http://www.carefordogs.org/en/ .

Thanks for considering a rescue dog, instead of shopping for a pet!
